Class in Focus - 5/6 Cai

This Term in 5/6 Cai, students have been diving deep into the wonders of the Universe through their Science Unit on Space and their English Unit on Information Texts. To showcase their learning in both areas, students are working hard to create imaginative and informative travel brochures to a celestial body of their choice!

The focus has been on writing clear, factual and engaging information texts that educate readers about their chosen destination—whether it’s the Moon, Mars, or a lesser-known place like IO. Students have been researching key features such as climate, terrain, gravity and atmosphere, and presenting their findings in a structured and informative way. They’ve also been learning how to use headings, subheadings, diagrams and persuasive language to make their brochures both educational and appealing.
