Dear families,

The end of Term 3 is fast approaching! This term has been such a busy one at Kingston Primary. It has been so wonderful to see our students immersed in so many activities and thriving in all aspects of school life. Despite Term 3 being busy, there remains such a positive energy throughout the school. I am delighted to share some wonderful updates and highlights from the last fortnight with you all.

Matilda

This week we saw our wonderful cast and crew put on two spectacular performances of Matilda! I was fortunate to attend both evenings and – wow – I am still blown away by the amazing shows.

Our students were simply remarkable. I thank you for all your hard work and dedication in your preparation and your performances. Hopefully memories were made that will last for many years to come.

Mr Steve Jones, Miss Isabella Briffa and Ms Jade Primrose were absolutely instrumental in pulling the show together, and on behalf of the School Community, I extend my gratitude to you. There were so many hours of work that went into putting Matilda on, with so much done behind the scenes. I was incredibly proud of how students were nurtured and given the confidence to perform in front of two nearly sold-out audiences. Steve, Isabella and Jade were supported by the entire staff who made this event such a success.

There are very few schools, let alone primary schools, that are capable of putting on a production of this scale. Events like Matilda are so important for our community, and I thank every person who attended in making it such a memorable event.

Father's and Special Person's Breakfast

What a wonderful morning we had at our Father's and Special Person's Breakfast! It was great to see so many of our students share breakfast with the special people in their lives. The hall was filled with laughter and happy chatter as everyone enjoyed a delicious meal together.

A huge thank you to Wendy and her incredible team of volunteers. Your hard work and dedication made the morning a huge success. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was so welcoming. We couldn't have done it without you!

It was a truly special event that celebrated the important bonds between our students and their loved ones. Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a memorable day.

Thank You for Your Feedback!

We want to hear from you again! Your input is incredibly important and helps us make decisions and plan for our school's future. The Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP) is conducting its annual School Satisfaction Survey. School Garden Expansion

Our School Garden Expansion project is well underway and will be truly wonderful for our School Community once complete.

Jointly funded between the Tasmanian Community Fund, the KPS School Association and the school, we are so excited to see this project completed for our community.
