Dear families,
I can't believe we are already halfway through Term 3! It feels like only yesterday we were beginning this busy and engaging term, but we are now at the end of Week 6. It has been so wonderful to see our students immersed in so many activities and thriving in all aspects of school life. With the longer days and warmer weather of Spring just around the corner, there's a real sense of excitement and energy throughout the school. I am delighted to share some wonderful updates and highlights from the last fortnight with you all.
Thank You for Your Feedback!
We want to hear from you again! Your input is incredibly important and helps us make decisions and plan for our school's future. The Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP) is conducting its annual School Satisfaction Survey. We'd be grateful if you could take about 5 minutes to complete this online survey about Kingston Primary School.
The survey is open from Monday 25 August to Friday 19 September 2025. To participate, please click the link below or paste it into your browser or scan the QR code below. Only one person from each family should complete the survey.
Take the online survey by clicking this Link, or pasting it in your browser: https://nam.dcv.ms/riZmTHuKJS
All responses are anonymous and confidential. We will receive a summary of the results, but information is not identifiable, and no individual or small-group responses will be shared. If you need any assistance, please don't hesitate to contact the school office. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We really appreciate and value your input.
Matilda Tickets are Selling Fast!
With only a fortnight to go until our major production of Matilda, the excitement is truly building! The level of enthusiasm and energy in rehearsals has been amazing. Personally, I have been left with a deep sense of pride and joy seeing the cast and crew flourish during preparation of the Musical, and the performances will be the culmination of those efforts and hard work. A huge thank you to our incredible Performing Arts team led by the talented Steve Jones, Isabella Briffa and Jade Primrose, along with our Specialist team. Their hard work and unwavering commitment to our students and school has been absolutely fantastic.

Kingston Primary School Commitment to Literacy: Kingston Primary's Approach
At Kingston Primary we believe that every student deserves the best support on their Literacy journey. We're proud to be at the forefront of the Department's new approach, the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and have been successfully implementing its core principles for some time. This evidence-based system ensures that every child gets the help they need, precisely when they need it.
How We're Supporting Your Child's Learning
Our approach to Literacy is layered and flexible, ensuring that support is tailored to each student's needs.
We're proud of how far we've come in implementing this direction from the Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP) and we're seeing fantastic results in our students' progress. Our teachers are skilled at identifying where students need support and providing it in a timely and effective way.
If you have any questions about our Literacy approach or your child's learning, please don't hesitate to contact their Class Teacher.
