Class in Focus - Art

Art in Term 1 has unintentionally had a floral theme. With the Early Childhood classes we looked into making some mixed media, pop art inspired pieces.  We created some watercolour flowers which we then cut out and glued onto paper along with a can of either spaghetti or baked beans. Our Year 3/4 classes spent the Term exploring different print making techniques. We ended our Term creating some printed flowers in a vase. The Year 5/6 classes spent all Term creating Yayoi Kusama inspired paper mache flower sculptures. All of this art is on display in various spots around the school. Next Term we will start our Young Archies portraits and designing props for our upcoming school production, Matilda Jr - The Musical!”
