A warm welcome back to all our returning families and a particularly enthusiastic hello to those joining our vibrant School Community for the very first time! We're absolutely delighted to kick off 2025 – a year filled with exciting opportunities for learning, growth and developing meaningful connections. Whether you've been at Kingston Primary School for several years, or starting your time with us, we extend a heartfelt welcome and we are thrilled to have you and your children with us. At Kingston Primary we deeply value the partnership between home and school and look forward to collaborating with each one of you to create a supportive learning environment where our students can thrive.

From engaging classroom experiences to extracurricular activities and community events, we have a lot in store for this year, and we encourage you to get involved and become an active part of our school family. Get ready for a fantastic year filled with discovery, growth and shared experiences – we can't wait to see what 2025 brings!

Communication at Kingston Primary School

At Kingston Primary School we use a variety of communication tools to share updates with our entire community. As you would all now be aware, we have moved away from written comments in Reports to share student ‘Evidence of Learning’. This will be shared via our Online Communication Platform, Seesaw, or through Parent/Teacher discussions occurring later this term.

Sharing learning with our families will be more frequent this year. Our other important school communication platforms are as follows:

  • Schoolzine – whole school messaging (email and SZapp);
  • Seesaw – Classroom Teachers’ direct line of communication with all families and a space to share student learning;
  • Facebook/Instagram – whole school reminders and a space to share whole school successes and celebrations;
  • Newsletter- important whole school messaging;
  • School/Principal email- an avenue to contact staff or provide crucial feedback to our team of educators.

Please stay connected with the communication platforms to ensure you are receiving the most up to date information regarding school events.

This Term promises to be a busy one packed with exciting learning opportunities, special events and important milestones.

With so much happening, it's crucial to stay informed and organised. We encourage all families to pay close attention to the key dates listed in this newsletter. From upcoming assessments and Parent/Teacher discussions to school excursions and holiday breaks, marking these dates in your calendar will help ensure a smooth and successful Term for everyone.

Launching into Learning

Give your little ones the best start in education with our free Launching into Learning Program designed for families with children aged birth to 4 years! We know how much children grow in their early years and this program provides wonderful opportunities to nurture their development. Our experienced Early Years Educators, Mrs Jess Suffolk and Ms Alison Brooks, lead engaging and enriching sessions. Please see our Term 1 timetable below. We can’t wait for you to join us!

2025 School Production

We are thrilled to announce that our school production for 2025 will be the beloved  "Matilda The Musical Jr." Based on the classic novel by Roald Dahl, "Matilda The Musical Jr" tells the story of an extraordinary girl who dares to take a stand and change her destiny. With its enchanting songs, dynamic choreography, and heartwarming narrative, this production promises to be an unforgettable experience for both participants and audience members alike.

We are excited to bring this magical story to life and showcase the incredible talent of our students!

Rehearsals are already underway and we are looking forward to involving the entire School Community in this spectacular event. Auditions will be held in Weeks 4 and 5 of this Term for the main cast, and we encourage all students to participate, whether they are seasoned performers or new to the stage. Additionally we will need enthusiastic volunteers to assist with set design, costumes, lighting and backstage support. Keep an eye on future newsletters for more details on how you can get involved. Let’s work together to make "Matilda The Musical Jr" a huge success and a highlight of our 2025 school year!
