Issue 6, 9 May 2025, Week 2 Term 2
A very warm welcome to Term 2 to all of our students and families! We hope you had a restful break and are feeling refreshed and ready for another exciting term of learning at Kingston Primary School. The energy around the school is wonderful, and it's fantastic to see everyone reconnecting with friends and embracing new challenges. We have a term packed with learning and events and we can't wait to see what our students will achieve.
It was wonderful to kick off the term with one of our favourite community events: our Special Persons Breakfast. It was a brilliant morning filled with laughter, connection and delicious food as students welcomed their mums and special guests to our school. The atmosphere was simply brilliant and it was such a joy to witness the strong bonds between our students and their families. This event wouldn't have been possible without the outstanding support and organisational brilliance of Wendy. Thank you Wendy, for your incredible dedication and hard work in making this such a memorable occasion for our School Community!
Our annual Cross Country event was another highlight, showcasing the incredible spirit and determination of our students. From our youngest runners to our seasoned Upper Primary competitors, everyone gave their absolute best, demonstrating fantastic resilience. The cheering from the sidelines was infectious, creating a real sense of unity and encouragement. A huge thank you to Mrs Cockerell for her amazing organisation and enthusiasm in making this such a fun and successful day!
Finally a huge congratulations to our incredibly talented cast and the dedicated Performing Arts department for their exciting start to rehearsals for this year's major production of Matilda Jr - The Musical! The energy and enthusiasm in the rehearsal room are palpable, and we've already been treated to some sneak peeks of the amazing talent we have on stage and behind the scenes. Get ready to be captivated by this extraordinary musical! Save the Date: Performances will be held on 10 and 11 September. More details regarding ticket sales will follow soon.
With so much happening this term, it's essential to stay informed about important key dates. Please keep a close eye on the school newsletter, website, SeeSaw and Schoolzine and our Facebook page for upcoming events and activities. We will aim to consistently publish details on both our Schoolzine and Facebook platforms.
We look forward to a term filled with learning, laughter and memorable moments. Thank you for your ongoing support and please reach out if you have any questions.

So far our class has been working hard and making fantastic progress in all areas of learning. From tackling new concepts with curiosity to supporting one another as a team, students have shown real growth in both their learning and confidence. Their enthusiasm and positive mindsets shine no matter what we're doing, whether we're diving into challenging tasks or celebrating small wins together.
